Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds could provide a £16bn boost to levelling up the country, according to a new report.

A White Paper published today suggested council pensions funds could play a role in regeneration by investing capital into local and regional opportunities in key sectors such as affordable housing, clean energy, infrastructure, and small and medium-sized enterprises.
