Planning permission for council sports centre quashed

Elmbridge BC may be forced to demolish its multi-million pound sports hub after a High Court judge ruled it was granted planning permission unlawfully.

Elmbridge BC may be forced to demolish its multi-million pound sports hub after a High Court judge ruled it was granted planning permission unlawfully.

Following the judgement, the £19m Xcel Sports Hub in Walton no longer has planning permission, despite having opened in 2017.
