Policy Officer, Selby District Council

37 hours per week. Temporary Maternity Cover – 12 to 14 Months. We need a hard working, enthusiastic and ambitious person for around 14 months to cover maternity leave in the Policy and Strategy Team. We need an experienced and qualified person who can start straight away and manage themselves to slip seamlessly in to the role without service disruption. As well as being an all rounder, desirable skills include economic viability assessment, and skills in environmental and climate change areas including Sustainability Appraisal and Strategic Environmental Assessment.

You will demonstrate a professional outlook and methodical but creative approach to your challenging workload. In return you will receive a remuneration package that includes pension plan, shop discount scheme, flexible working hours and free parking.

An application form can be obtained from the Council's website here.

Closing date: 4.30pm, Thursday 30 August 2012.
