A Welsh council last week recovered most of the £4m it had invested in Icelandic banks before the 2008 crash.

Eight Welsh authorities and three police authorities had some £66m invested in Icelandic banks prior to the collapse, but Powys CC has now clawed back almost all the money it had tied up.
