Local authorities tied into Public Private Partnerships (PPP) should re-examine their contracts after problems with a deal signed by Edinburgh City Council emerged, the boss of a direct services organisation has urged.
Speaking after Edinburgh City Council's leader Andrew Burns blamed his authority's PPP for the closure of 17 schools amid safety fears, chief executive of the Association of Public Service Excellence, Paul O'Brien said: ‘We did have concerns that corners would be cut on these types of contract.
