A crackdown on council property investment could be ‘potentially disastrous' for some authorities, the Local Government Association (LGA) has warned.

In a report to the latest meeting of the LGA's resources board, Smith Square said proposed changes to the prudential framework of capital finance would ‘potentially have major impacts on local authorities'.
