Protecting residents and preventing violence

London Councils is working with partners to map the VAWG (violence against women and girls) funding pots available across the capital, and how they support or undermine efforts to build capacity and to establish gaps, says Alison Griffin.

One in four Londoners (25%) have been personally affected by the issue of domestic abuse, according to recent polling commissioned by London Councils.

These findings remind us how prevalent just one aspect of violence against women and girls (VAWG) is, and how widespread an impact it has.
