The number of people contacting the NSPCC about child neglect has increased dramatically in the past five years, sparking fresh fears over the decline of early help services.

The number of people contacting the NSPCC about child neglect has increased dramatically in the past five years, sparking fears over the decline of early help services.

In 2016/17, the NSPCC dealt with 19,448 calls and emails about child neglect – the highest number on record and an increase of 61% in five years.
