A ‘rapid timetable' must be set should the Government pursue a Royal Commission to reform social care, the chair of the LGA Community and Wellbeing Board said today.

Speaking this morning at the opening plenary of the National Children and Adult Services Conference in Liverpool, Cllr David Fothergill said: ‘We want to work closely in partnership with government to stabilise, to strengthen and to reform social care.
