Salford chief to retire after 40 years

Jim Taylor has announced his retirement after almost four decades of public service.

Salford City Council chief executive Jim Taylor has announced he is to retire after almost 40 years of public service.

He will leave the council in January after more than six years in the role to spend more time with his family and friends.
