The Scottish Government has extended the deadline for census returns by four weeks in a bid to boost a completion rate of just 77%.

The Scottish Government has extended the deadline for census returns by four weeks in a bid to boost a completion rate of just 77%.

Last week - just days before the 1 May deadline - 604,000 Scottish households had yet to complete the census.
