A group of four Scottish local authorities has warned it could face a funding gap of up to £1bn by 2020/21 if the Government continues to slash budgets.

A group of four Scottish local authorities has warned it could face a funding gap of up to £1bn by 2020/21 if the Government continues to slash budgets.

The Scottish Local Government Partnership (SLGP), which represents Aberdeen, Glasgow, Renfrewshire and South Lanarkshire councils, said the continued reduction in the overall grant combined with additional cost pressures would leave them short by £183m next year.
