The Scottish Government has asked councils to divert funds from a Nature Restoration Fund to help them meet the revised local authority pay deal, it is understood.

The Scottish Government has asked councils to divert funds from a Nature Restoration Fund to help them meet the revised local authority pay deal, it is understood.

It said it intends to reinstate the funding in next year's budget.
