Local government must not shy away, ‘nanny' or ‘pander' when tackling radicalisation and child abuse, the Government's extremism tsar has said.

In a passionate speech to the Local Government Association last week, Louise Casey, who is leading a government review into community cohesion and integration, called on the sector to take the lead on such issues.
