The Government will not strike any more safety valve agreements for councils with financial deficits within their special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services, it has confirmed.

The Government will not strike any more safety valve agreements for councils with financial deficits within their special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services, it has confirmed.

More than 30 local authorities have attempted to bring their high needs budgets under control through the programme, which provides a cash injection for councils overspending on SEND.
