SEND funding boost of £280m announced

Councils will receive £280m to create new school places for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Councils will receive £280m to create new school places for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

The funding from the Department for Education is designed to both deliver new places and improve existing provision for children and young people with SEND, particularly those with more complex needs.
