Sheffield City Region: Future devo deals can't be as good

Leaders of the Sheffield City Region have insisted they should receive more from their devolution deal for being ahead of other proposed combined authorities.

Leaders of the Sheffield City Region have insisted they should receive more from their devolution deal for being ahead of other proposed combined authorities.

In a letter to chancellor George Osborne, combined authority chair Cllr Sir Stephen Houghton outlined seven conditions for the deal, which was agreed earlier this month, including that future deals with other proposed regions must receive less.
