One in 10 slash social care spending by 25%

One in 10 councils slashed adult social care spending by more than a quarter in six years, a new Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) analysis revealed today.

One in 10 councils slashed adult social care spending by more than a quarter in six years, a new Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) analysis revealed today. 

The paper found a real-terms drop in spend on social care per adult of 11% between 2009/10 and 2015/16.
