The chief executive of Solihull MBC, Nick Page, has stepped down with immediate effect, the authority has announced.

The leader of Solihull, Ian Courts, said: ‘During his eight years at the council, Nick has been fully committed to serving the residents of Solihull and I know that this will not have been an easy decision for him to make.
