Service Manager – Information and Governance

Salary up to £43,152

You will own and be responsible for the Information Management Strategy and framework to ensure enforcement and compliance across the organisation. Acting as the key champion for Information Management your role will also include sponsoring associated technology initiatives in support of the Information Strategy, You will also lead on the production of timely and relevant management information for the organisation.

You will need to demonstrate vision and ability in exploring new ways in which information and data can be used to improve the delivery of commissioning and services and ensure Information Governance and Records Management services are delivered in accordance with legislation and help support and continuously modernise new ways of working.

As the key link with Senior Managers across the organisation you will need to understand their business needs and shape the service to be able to respond to a challenging and dynamic environment.

Service Manager – Technology Salary up to £38,142 Ref No: 5915/JLB/MJ

Working closely with senior stakeholders within the organisation developing business requirements into outline technology solutions, you will oversee the delivery of major technology projects and ensure that the Council takes advantage of technical innovation and opportunity to improve business efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.

The post involves developing and securing approval to ICT strategies, and development of functional specifications for ICT services and systems liaising with Lead Commissioners, Directors, and Senior Managers as appropriate. You will ensure these meet client business requirements and also provide a quality assurance role.

By supporting the reshaping of the provider service/contracted services where appropriate, you will commission approved solutions from third party suppliers ensuring effective integration with all authority systems and compliance with all security policies. You will also assess the service providers' performance against the contractual framework, escalating concerns and securing improvements.

Strategic Manager – Commercial Advisory Salary up to £48,816 Ref No: 5912/JLB/MJ

This is a pivotal role in ensuring that the organisation is supported by robust commercial advice and support that helps deliver our new operating model and service review programme.

Working closely with the Strategic Manager – Business Client, your role is to support the commercial agenda and facilitate strategic commercial development across the organisation. You will lead on commercial and contractual aspects of strategic supplier contracts on behalf of the Authority. These include a number of our current outsourced services.

You will also play a key role in the direction of a range of significant change management and business improvement projects throughout the business and critically appraise and evaluate new service model and business case opportunities.

Service Manager – Business Change Advisors – 2 posts Salary up to £43,152 Ref No: 5914/JLB/MJ

You will work with senior leaders to provide advice, guidance and influence about effective change management and leadership accountabilities, influencing training and the development of programme design. Your activities will include overseeing and directly delivering high quality business improvement/business change activity across the organisation and with partners, will add value and drive performance.

Sitting centrally, with links to each business area within SCC, you will be aware of the various levels of impact of change on the business and customers, and tailor approaches accordingly. You will also contribute towards SCC being a learning organisation, allowing the sharing of lessons learnt and best practice.

As the key link between each business area and individual Programmes, horizontally across the Council, you will ensure better communication, understanding and buy-in and delivery of benefits that feed financial planning.

By leading the promotion of a business improvement ethos across the organisation you will aid a consistent communications approach, particularly around managing change and also accelerate the process and ensure quality of in-flight change activity, identifying and confronting change resistance.
