The chief executive of Southend-on-Sea BC, Rob Tinlin, is to cut his hours to work a four-day week. 

Council leader, Nigel Holdcroft, said 'This This arrangement enables us to retain a well-regarded and highly effective chief executive while allowing him a greater work-life balance.'
