Standards chair challenges government

The Committee on Standards in Public Life (CSPL) has expressed disappointment over Government rejection of its plans.

The Committee on Standards in Public Life (CSPL) has expressed disappointment that the government recently rejected plans to improve local ethics.

In a letter published on 20 October, CSPL chairman Lord Evans asks levelling up secretary Simon Clarke to reconsider proposals in a 2019 report.
