The political ‘weaponisation' of social care must end and the Government is considering how to ‘go about building a vehicle' for cross party consensus, the minister for care has said.

Speaking at a plenary session of the National Children and Adult Services Conference (NCASC) yesterday, Stephen Kinnock said adult social care had been a ‘political football for far too long, with every previous attempt to put it on a more sustainable footing being undermined by partisan politics'.
