Sunderland City Council confirm interim chief

A former Department for Communities and Local Government director has been confirmed as the new interim chief executive of Sunderland City Council.

A former Department for Communities and Local Government director has been confirmed as the interim chief executive of Sunderland City Council. 

Irene Lucas CBE, who has previously served as the South Tyneside MBC boss, will take up the role in April.
