Councils have shared concerns some providers of ‘exempt' accommodation are exploiting the sector as ‘a licence to print money'.

The Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Select Committee has launched an inquiry into  exempt non-commissioned supported accommodation for people entitled to enhanced housing benefit.
