Public health expert Sir Michael Marmot has urged the Government to follow the lead of US President Joe Biden to level up the UK.

Speaking at the Local Government Association's annual conference, Sir Michael said his latest work as director of the Institute of Health Equity had found an ‘absolutely catastrophic' fall in life expectancy.
