The UK Municipal Bonds Agency (UKMBA) is expected to launch its first bond before the end of the year, but questions remain over its size.

Some reports have suggested the bond, which could be used by local authorities to invest in capital projects, could be worth as much as £100m, but one well-placed source said he was ‘doubtful' it would be anywhere near that sum.
