Union recommends pay offer rejection

Trade union Unite has urged local government to enter ‘meaningful’ pay negotiations after recommending its members reject the 2% offer proposed by employers.

Trade union Unite has urged local government to enter ‘meaningful' pay negotiations after recommending its members reject the 2% offer proposed by employers.

The National Joint Committee offer includes a 2% increase from 1 April for the majority of local government and school support staff in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and a further 2% in April 2019.
