Wakefield City Council announces Roney replacement

Wakefield City Council has named Meran McRae as its new chief executive.

Wakefield City Council has named Meran McRae as its new chief executive. 

She has been put forward to replace Joanne Roney, who has held the position since 2008 and is taking up the chief executive role at Manchester City Council next month.
