Nearly two years after submitting its local plan Stroud DC is the latest district to get a letter from inspectors pointing to the 'absence of a meaningful strategic planning perspective to help us', says Kathy O'Leary.

As one of many district councils which has not declared that it needs little or no development and which has pressed on with serious plan-making, we've hit a bit of a snag. That's an understatement.

Nearly two years after submitting our local plan and some way through its examination, we're the latest district to reflect on a letter from our inspectors that points to the absence of a meaningful strategic planning perspective to help us.
