Action to tackle the workforce crisis in council finance teams is now ‘urgent', a report has concluded.

Vacancy rates in finance positions in England have reached 16%, according to research published today by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and Local Government Association (LGA).
