York publishes details of chief executive's retirement package

A political row had broken out over the circumstances of Mary Weastell's departure.

York City Council has confirmed a payout of more than £400,000 is to be made to chief executive Mary Weastell.

The announcement was made today on her last day in the role ahead of taking early retirement.
