Cornish push for nation status defeated

Calls for Cornwall Council to pursue devolution on the scale of Wales or Scotland have been narrowly defeated by councillors.

Calls for Cornwall Council to pursue devolution on the scale of Wales or Scotland have been narrowly defeated by councillors.

A motion to seek ‘meaningful devolution' was rejected at a meeting today by 38 votes to 36, with one abstention.
