Havering stands by investigation lead choice

Havering LBC has insisted the officer chosen to lead an investigation into gerrymandering and misconduct allegations will be able to carry out an impartial review.

The council has stuck by its choice of Newham LBC’s monitoring officer, Daniel Fenwick, despite criticism from Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas that he is too closely linked with Havering.
