Ministers to consider royal commission plea

Ministers will consider the housing ombudsman’s call this week for an independent royal commission on social housing.

Ombudsman Richard Blakeway has issued a plea for a commission to ‘reimagine the future of social housing’ and re-establish the link between housing and health. He claimed the sector is close to breaking point.
