Ministers will consider the housing ombudsman’s call this week for an independent royal commission on social housing.

Ministers will consider the housing ombudsman's call this week for an independent royal commission on social housing.

Ombudsman Richard Blakeway has issued a plea for a commission to ‘reimagine the future of social housing' and re-establish the link between housing and health. He claimed the sector is close to breaking point.
