Peers today warned chancellor Jeremy Hunt his Autumn Statement falls short of his own estimates for what will be needed to sustain social care services.

In a letter to Mr Hunt and new health secretary Steve Barclay, the House of Lords' Adult Social Care Committee said the ‘Autumn Statement lacks strategy and vision for adult social care'.
