Local government minister Marcus Jones has given a new deadline for councils to rebill firms that qualify for business rates relief.

Mr Jones wrote to all local authority leaders last week, requiring councils to inform the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) as soon as they have completed their rebilling process.
