The Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) plans to strengthen its leadership team with a string of high-level appointments covering key policy areas.

SOLACE has proposed appointing 27 senior council managers as either policy spokespeople or deputy spokespeople on areas such as community wellbeing, leadership and learning, commissioning and finance.
