Children's services should be more involved in the policy that has led to police no longer attending non-emergency callouts, mental health experts have urged.

Addressing a London Assembly hearing on the Right Care, Right Person (RCRP) regime, president of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Lade Smith, warned the sector had witnessed a reduction in youngsters referred to children's services and the NHS since the policy was introduced.
