'Serious concerns' raised over chiefs after child deaths

MPs have written to new education secretary Kit Malthouse raising ‘serious concerns’ over the chief executives at Bradford City Council and Solihull MBC.

MPs today wrote to new education secretary Kit Malthouse raising ‘serious concerns' over the chief executives at Bradford City Council and Solihull MBC.

In a frank letter to Mr Malthouse, the chair of Parliament's Education Committee questioned the ability of Bradford's Kersten England and Solihull's Nick Page and their current children's services leads to oversee improvements following the deaths of Star Hobson and Arthur Labinjo-Hughes.
