Corporation blasts planning reforms as 'stemming city growth'

Allowing developers to transform commercial space in London's square mile could pose a threat to local business development, the City of London Corporation has claimed.

Cross-capital policy body London Councils has also warned new homes built in old office buildings are at risk of being low quality, a view reinforced by the Corporation, which states that community secretary Eric Pickles' ideas 'pose a threat to the City's international competitiveness.'
