The chief executive of Stirling Council has withdrawn her resignation and will remain in post at the council.

Carol Beattie resigned from the council in early December to ‘seek out a new future'.However, an appointment panel met has agreed unanimously to allow Ms Beattie to withdraw her resignation and the recruitment process has been cancelled.
