The Council of the Isles of Scilly has improved its accounting practices following a stern warning from auditors.

The Council of the Isles of Scilly has improved its accounting practices following a stern warning from auditors.

Audit firm Grant Thornton published the Isles of Scilly's statement of accounts for 2016/17 on 5 January, noting an improvement since it was forced to issue a Section 24 notice on the council's 2015/16 accounts due to ‘inadequate financial controls'.
