A council-owned energy company has said it is on course to make a profit by 2021 after adjusting its business plan.

A council-owned energy company has said it is on course to make a profit by 2021 after adjusting its business plan.

Bristol Energy, which is wholly-owned by Bristol City Council, initially predicted it would return a profit by 2019, but the firm was forced to revise its ambition after a slower-than-expected take-up of its gas and electricity tariffs across the UK.
