Coventry City Council provided a £1m loan to a failing cultural trust knowing there was a risk of financial collapse, internal documents have revealed.

A report by interim chief executive Barry Hastie to the council's finance and corporate services scrutiny board this afternoon revealed senior officers knew there was a risk the Coventry City of Culture Trust (CCCT) would continue to suffer financially throughout the post-Covid period.
