Members of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council have raised concerns the authority could face government intervention over the performance of its planning department.

The council's department struggled to adapt to working from home following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and were unable to make site visits during the first lockdown, which was followed by a ‘rapid increase in demand' during the summer.
