Councils called for greater flexibility over COVID-19 vaccine delivery after figures showed more than 40% of some ethnic minorities have not received a jab.

Data released by the Office for National Statistics today showed that more than 30 million residents have now received their first jab, with a take-up rate of 90.2% among those aged over 70, but there were concerning disparities in take-up between ethnic groups.
