Five councils to pilot H.B changes

Ministers have named five local authorities that will help pilot plans to pay Housing Benefit directly to social tenants.

Ministers have named five local authorities that will help pilot plans to pay Housing Benefit directly to social tenants.

Southwark LBC, Oxford City Council, Shropshire CC, Wakefield MBC and Torfaen Council will link up with local housing associations and other partners to trial direct payments to social tenants between June 2012 and June 2013.
