Croydon LBC today issued its third section 114 notice in three years, admitting it will not be able to balance its books without Government support.

The troubled south London borough said the move was due to the ‘ongoing impact of historic financial mismanagement,' which has ‘left the authority financially and operationally unsustainable'.
